These are very soft, flowing garments with elegant lines to
flatter many types of body types. Extremely comfortable! The
batiks are custom hand painted with very bright permanent
dyes on rayon.
Fabric care: these may bleed the first few times
you wash them, so wash by hand or separately. Dyes are very
strong and permanent. The fabric has already been boiled to
get off the wax used in manufacturing. Line dry, do not machine
dry, because it may shrink in a dryer.
Remove wrinkles by tumbling in a dryer for 5 minutes, when
fabric is dry. Or just by line drying after it is wet.
Caftans are shipped in from Hawaii and take
2 weeks for delivery.

guardian of all green growing things, and a very ancient
symbol of renewal, fertility and rebirth. |

Labyrinths symbolise the repeating
cycles of time, and create magical sacred space when
their spiral paths are walked or traced. This particular
labyrinth was found on every continent, including Siberia,
Arizona USA, Peru, Africa. India and Scandinavia. It
is probably 5,000 years old, and is also known as the
Cretan labyrinth. It's form is similar to the shape
of the human brain.
 Outside
the inner Labyrinth is a ring of 13 moons in phases,
denoting the 13 moon cycles in a year. A ring of prehistoric
Goddess images forms a mandala around the moons. Each
Goddess is framed in a mandorla or "vesica piscies"
shape, an ancient symbol of the yoni, the source of
feminine creative power.
At the feet of the Goddesses are symbols for the four
directions and elements of Air (east), Fire (south),
Water (west) and Earth (north). The outer ring of mandala
petals holds the Western astrological symbols. Outside
the mandala are plants of the four seasons, including
flowers in the East (Spring), roses and cherries in
the South (Summer), Fruits, vegetables and grains in
the West (Fall) and pine cones and mistletoe in the
North (Winter). In the outer corner are spirals, a symbol
of eternal cycles and the renewal of life. |
